  • Study with family: How is it?
    Studying abroad is an attractive option for many students, including those with spouses and children. If you would like to bring your family during your study, you must have a large number of additional preparations, including necessary documents for completing family visa and financial support to stay and living in Indonesia. As going abroad with spouses and children requires a great deal of organization and forward planning, please prepare and consider this very well. Because your family will be the most important thing that you need to prepare before your arrival, please check carefully the information regarding visa permits for your spouses and children. Please consult about this with the Office of International Affairs/DKKUI for further details (see Contact).
  • Semester leave: Is it possible?
    Taking a semester leave will allow you to take a break from your studies. You may apply to take the semester leave by filling out the form provided in the Directorate of Academic Services (DLA/Direktorat Layanan Akademik)– https://academic.uii.ac.id (subject to approval).

  • Study withdrawal: Is it possible to propose?
    You can propose a study withdrawal in UII in certain circumstances by filling out the study withdrawal form available in the Directorate of Academic Services (DLA/Direktorat Layanan Akademik) website – https://academic.uii.ac.id  signed and approved by the Dean of the Faculty.

  • Change study program: Is it allowed?
    Changing your study program is allowed in certain circumstances by submitting the study change request letter addressed to Rector of UII.

  • Health insurance: How is it?
    All UII undergraduate students are registered in a TAKAFUL insurance for the coverage: accidental death, accidental permanent disablement, accidental follow up medical treatment, compassionate death cash cover, and hospital daily benefit (terms and conditions applied).

  • Language preparation: What, where, and how?
    UII offers Indonesian Language for Foreigners/Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing (BIPA) in Center for International Language and Cultural Studies (CILACS) for foreign students from non-English speaking countries who will learn Bahasa Indonesia in Indonesia or for those who will study in UII regular classes (taught in Bahasa Indonesia). The duration varies depending on the students’ need. For further information about BIPA, please kindly access https://cilacs.uii.ac.id/bipa/

    Another option to take a BIPA course in your home country, please contact the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate Office in your country.


Everyday at Universitas Islam Indonesia, you will find an extensive study space to deepen your knowledge, develop your skills, and fostering new ideas. Gain a full learning experience while studying at UII. You may also choose various degree programs at UII which taught entirely in Bahasa Indonesia, or a specific degree offered at the International Program.

If you are interest to study in regular program, you must have a fluent communication skills using Bahasa Indonesia, both oral and written. UII provides Bahasa Indonesia untuk Penutur Asing (BIPA) program to help you learn Indonesian language before starting your first semester.
